Adele has split from her husband, Simon Konecki, after three years of marriage. The couple has a six-year-old son, Angelo.
The singer’s representatives confirmed the news in a statement. “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly,” the email said, according to The Guardian. “As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
Adele has been tight-lipped about her relationship, but confirmed the marriage when she won album of the year at the 2017 Grammys. In her acceptance speech, she said, “Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband, and my son, you’re the only reason I do it.”
Konecki is the co-founder of Life Water, an eco-friendly brand of bottled water in the UK. Funds from the company assist the charity that Konecki runs, Drop4Drop, providing clean water to countries in need.
Meanwhile, Adele is rumoured to be working on new music after being pictured entering a recording studio in New York City last month.
